Gutter Cleaning

Blocked gutters cleared of leaves, moss and debris so rainwater flows freely - protecting your walls, fascias and foundations.

About This Service

Blocked gutters are the single most common cause of damp walls and water damage in Scottish homes. Leaves, moss washed down from the roof, silt and even weeds build up over time until the water has nowhere to go but over the edge and down your walls. Gutter Guard provides a thorough gutter-cleaning service across Forfar and the wider Angus area, clearing the full run of gutters and downpipes and checking that everything drains properly before we leave. We clear the debris away rather than leaving it in your garden, and we can tell you there and then if any brackets or joints need attention.

Common Questions

How often should gutters be cleaned?

For most homes we recommend clearing gutters at least once a year, ideally in late autumn once the leaves have come down. Properties surrounded by trees, or with a lot of roof moss, often benefit from twice-yearly cleaning to stay ahead of blockages.

Do you clean gutters on high or hard-to-reach properties?

Yes. We use access towers and the right equipment to reach guttering safely at height, and we are fully insured. If your property needs scaffold we will include that in your quote up front.

Will cleaning stop my gutters blocking again?

Regular cleaning keeps them clear, but if blockages are a constant problem - for example under overhanging trees - fitting gutter guards or leaf protection is a cost-effective way to cut down how often they need doing. Just ask and we will talk you through the options.
